»Here’s my confession: I still need heroines in architecture. And I’m in love in Eileen Gray. This unconventional architect and designer triggers my desires and dreams. As a mirror of victory she sends sparks to my everyday life and to my own profession – the male-dominated and heteronormative structure of architecture.« – Katarina Bonnevier
In 2007 the architect and artist Katarina Bonnevier wrote her thesis, ‘Behind Straight Curtains: Towards a Queer Feminist Theory of Architecture’ about Eileen Gray (among others) and her building E.1027.
